Home it seems like classic Hip Hop and R&B is losing a home.Now this is my opinion i miss the music by Guy Keith Sweat Intro Dmx LL Cool J 2 pac EPMD MC Lyte Nikki D and the list goes on! Now what i did as a fan of the culture and music made a network which caters to the memory's of our past the 30's and up crowd.I spoke with a good friend Damion Hall and i said i miss the 80's the dancing the clothing line the parties and the whole vibe of music that pushed into the 90's.The block parties and the albums you had to get ! Now to me the mystery is gone like when the R hit the airwaves you knew i had to get that tape.OR when boogie down production came with south Bronx wow you said what is MC Shan gonna do now?Was beef back then more a lyrical thing? Back then was it more skill then drama?I remember when my sister took me to Astoria queens to see the disco twins i was like what is this and can i do this.Sorry i'm drifting but i have so many memories about this thing we call Hip Hop and R&B like hearing Jeff Redd on the movie strictly business or Father MC W/ Jodeci i was like this shit here is going to make them cats from N.C blow up. But then the west coast started ridding in with Ice T then Easy E and N.W.A MC Hammer,MC Eight then the movies New jack city, menace to society, Juice,Poetic justice ,Above the rim again giving birth to good music sorry to say who's the man whack movie but sound track was good (lol) .But what happen to a home for the classic are they dying off as we speak Kiss FM (NYC) Now ESPN Sports and it looks like WBLS will be hanging on a string also.But as i get older i see my young ins rocking flat tops wearing what we use to rock and dancing like we use to dance which brings a smile because they study the culture.Minus the ones rocking there pants off their ass!Sick i can't see me with my pants down to my knees and crossing the street with a book bag holding a cell phone then a female also i guess it is a skill and mind they wear a belt.They call it swag but we know what it is!One young cat said this is Hip Hop old head i said where in jail? The culture i love and hate at times i will try to keep it pure and also rocking with classic joints so we can say the magic words (Do you remember when this was out) With a smile you should begin to drift into the 80's baby or 90's baby roll grab ya nap sack hop on that train to the deuce and have fun. Or hit the block for the cipher which will see who is next and who has to get his or hers skills up.Shit i can't front if i can go back in time i would change alot of things!
